- Establish accounting policies and procedures and document for approval.

- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Produce, review, and approve journal entries.
- Perform routine general ledger account reconciliation.
- Maintain current and accurate balance sheet balances.
- Respond to data requests from tax accountants.
- Respond to and prepare information as requested by auditors.
- Special accounting-related projects as requested.
Business Taxes - Sales, Excise, Business and Occupation
- Maintain knowledge of sales and use taxes.
- Prepare and file state and local sales and use tax returns.
- Maintain and file local and state business licenses.
Payroll - Management
- Supervise and review payroll activities.
- Review payroll journal entries and taxes payable balances in general ledger.
- Prepare employee earnings statements complete with current pay period and year-to-date wages, taxes, and adjustments.
- Manage relationships with garnishment, workers compensation and third-party administrators.
- Process and submit garnishment payments.
- Prepare, file, and produce payment for all Federal, State, and local payroll taxes as necessary.
- Analyze and prepare employee payroll deductions for health, retirement, and others as needed.
- Transfer amounts of payroll deductions to retirement systems, tax authorities, insurance carriers and others as required.
- Prepare employee earnings statements complete with current pay period and year-to-date wages, taxes, and adjustments.
- Produce annual W-2 forms.
Cash Flow Control
- Monitor cash balances.
- Oversee bank and cash reconciliation to general checking account.
- Initiate funds transfers as approved.
- Resolve banking issues.
- Track lines of credit and loan balances.
